Alison Sharp

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Alison is a proud Kiwi woman of Maori and British descent. Having grown up on the East Coast of New Zealand, on Whakatohea and Te Whanau-a-Apanui land, she has a strong affinity for the coast and now lives on coastal Gadigal and Bidjigal Country in the Eora Nation (Sydney, Australia).

Alison has 20 years experience designing, growing, managing and leading teams around the world; including teams at Cap Gemini New Zealand, Orange in England and France, plus Westpac and Meld Studios in Australia.

Alison is passionate about creating organisational structures and ways of working that are inclusive, transparent AND effective. She applies a design mindset to business management, and frames everything as an experiment. She sees Meld Studios as a live prototype for exploring what responsible leadership and responsible business looks like.

Alison has written and spoken publicly about mindsets and methods to ‘design out’ the pitfalls we see in traditional approaches to business, leadership and decision making.

She plays a key role in shaping and supporting all projects at Meld, and mentors other team leaders to help embed contemporary ways of working.
